Prework

In the first 40 hours of your UX/UI design training, you’ll learn the basics of design thinking, interaction design and state-of-the-art design software. Once you’ve received instructions for setting up your tools, you’ll complete specially designed exercises to:

1. create your first usability evaluations and site redesign

2. develop your design sensitivity through fascinating activities

3. perform basic HTML and CSS practice work that is essential for the bootcamp’s design implementation section.

Once you’ve wrapped up these online prep materials, you’ll be all set to start the course off right!

Our financing options at Ironhack

Do you need help with the payment? Our financing options help you find the support you need so you can focus on your career and developing new skills.

Contract of Professional Security (CSP)

This financing option is available for people who lost their job due to a lay off. It fully funds the program and it’s available for all Ironhack’s bootcamps, though you may need additional approval if the course is not yet certified by the RNCP.

Pôle emploi

Available for unemployed candidates. Pôle Emploi helps in finding a job and providing financial aid for training. The AIF is not automatic, approval from your counselor for this funding is needed.

OPCO (Opérateurs de Compétence)

Funding with no cap available for active employees. Subsidies are awarded on a sliding scale depending on each specific situation and typically range between €2,000 and €6,000.

Pledg

In partnership with Pledg, our students can pay in 3, 6, or 10 monthly installments, whether it be for our full-time or part-time bootcamps. The net tuition, after payment of the deposit and any third-party financing, can be divided into monthly automatic payments via bank card on the Pledg platform. For the payment in 3, 6 and 10 installments, the fees are 1.5%, 4.6% and 6.7% of the total balance applied to the first payment.

BNP Paribas

Exclusive student loan from 760€ to 75,000€ with a global fixed annual interest rate of 0.98% over a period of 4 to 96 months. Repayments are deferred for the first year, and there is no fee for an early payoff of the loan. 80€ welcome offer for new clients and a no-fee account for the first two years.

Professional Transition

Employees who want to change careers can request a Professional Transition Project (PTP), which can finance up to the total cost of the bootcamp.

AGEFICE or FIF PL

This financing option is available for freelancers and entrepreneurs. AGEFICE can partially finance your professional training, and FIF PL is best for independent workers.

CPF (Compte personnel de formation)

Available for the Web Development program. The public funding CPF can finance a part of your program if you have an account and have accumulated credit (500€ per year worked). The aide ranges from 200€ to 5000€

Why should you study UX/UI Design in Bordeaux

Growing Tech SceneThanks to the awarding of the FrenchTech label in 2014, the digital sector has expanded! This digital scene is driven by the dynamism of an entire ecosystem strongly mobilized around the FrenchTech Label. With 4,700 companies and 22,400 jobs, Bordeaux Metropole is one of the leading regions in terms of job growth in the tech industry, and this is just the beginning! Many digital companies are setting up shop in Bordeaux and recruiting!
Supportive RegionThe Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region supports the dynamism of its digital sector through ongoing support for innovation. At the same time, it is committed to helping economic players facing the urgent need to digitize. New Aquitaine is a region in which the digital economy is still moderately developed, but it is booming, with a 33% increase in employment between 2014 and 2019.
Positive OutlookWe are seeing growing demand for UX/UI designers in Bordeaux. In France, Covid has also preserved or even favored UX employment: 8 managers continued to recruit in 2020, 7 out of 10 plan to do so in 2021. In addition, many other digital professionals train in UX and product design without wanting to become a designer: to add a stimulating dimension to their job and add much needed strings to their bow. Developers and product owners, project and product managers, marketing managers... for many jobs, recruiters now ask for UX skills! All the indicators are green: already very concrete, the dynamism of the French UX job market is a basic trend that will accelerate.
Enjoy the locationWe found the space of our dreams on the Quai des Chartrons in the heart of the city. Now Coworking is an incredible space of 4,000 m2 of workspace in a former dock. Offices but also relaxation areas, a kitchen, meeting and creativity rooms completed by a magnificent terrace of more than 600 m2 overlooking the Garonne with a view of the Jacques Chaban-Delmas Bridge. A premium and atypical place in a historical building calling for travels, dreams, unique experiences but also and mainly for business! Several renowned startups have already established their Bordeaux HQ there!
