Remote work is here to stay: after being forced to work from home in 2020, it seems we’ve sort of realized it’s actually fine to skip the commute and join the company meeting from the comfort of your sofa. Or is it? While remote work certainly sounds easy and laid-back, it’s not just about remembering to unmute yourself on the Zoom call: remote brings its own challenges, and if you’re aiming to get hired for a remote or hybrid role, you have to get comfortable with it, and show you’re capable of giving your best in an online environment and aligning with the company and with your coworkers.

Have you been thinking about switching careers? You wouldn’t be the first: about half of the workforce is considering a job change, and 20% have already taken the leap in 2022, joining professional fields with growing demand, such as Tech. After studying computer engineering and spending six years as an Account Manager, I decided I wanted to return to the world of programming but I needed some refreshment before doing so. I was trying to re-learn some things on my own, but it was too slow and I realized I needed some external help that would speed up the process. That’s when I started looking into bootcamps. The camps I looked at were really basic and short (70 hours max). After a lot of research, I thought maybe this format was my best option.
