Álvaro González

Álvaro worked previously in investment banking and venture capital, but he quit his job to teach in a remote school in Nepal. Upon returning, he joined Ironhack to become an active player in changing education. He started as the expansion lead in Amsterdam, and now he’s leading the Ironhack Lisbon campus.

Jose started coding at the age of 13 and fell in love with the web. He worked as a consultant and built his own company at age 25. In his free time, he organizes tech meetups, goes to the movies and participates in Hufflepuff gatherings.

Miguel Braga Gomes

Miguel started working as a software developer in 2006, since then he's been involved in several different projects across different industries and countries. He’s developed apps for companies in Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Denmark. He currently manages software development teams at Vodafone and co-leads the part-time web development bootcamp. When he's not working, he's probably surfing or off discovering new craft beers.

Jake Lyons

Jake has a background in computer engineering and has done some research in machine learning. His professional experience includes various successful start-ups in the United States, and he now makes a living working on freelance projects. His love for travel has landed him in Lisbon, but he will always be a hacker from the “Steel City” — Pittsburgh.

Cristina Zappullo

Cristina is a biomedical and software engineer and with experience in architectural software design as well as development using computer vision, machine learning, BCI and agile methodologies. With over five years of experience teaching and tutoring in computer science, data analysis, mathematics, physics and electronics, she has always had her thinking cap on — from her university years to her trips around the world, to her volunteer work for organizations, companies and schools. She just loves learning!

Hugo Rocha

Hugo is a Ph.D. candidate at IADE-Universidade Europeia, and founder of Vínculo Design Estratégico in Brazil. Since 2007 he has led Vínculo, participating in 100+ design projects, from identity design to branding, packaging to wayfinding and editorial to UX/UI. Passionate about education and the power of design to inspire change, Hugo has 15 years of experience in the design field and is seeking new ways of teaching and learning impact-driven design.
